Victoria

Victoria computer help and support
This was a conflict of unimaginable misery….. We gather to pay tribute to the memories of those who served and honour those who still serve. They paid a heavy price for the freedom victoria we all enjoy and they deserve our respect," he told the students. Since confederation more than 2 million victoria troops have served overseas in numerous conflicts and more than 150,000 veterans have perished.

"Canada always steps up to the plate. This is acknowledged among other nations. We don't shirk, we don't placate, we don't send regrets, we send the army and the navy and the air force. And our men and women are placed in harms way; that is the price of freedom and it is often high," Mcpl. Bingham stated.

The soldier urged students to support Canadian troops in Afghanistan who are stationed with soldiers from 37 other countries that are fighting against "forces of evil and oppression."

"Our forces are working to bring peace to that country and essential services to the public like clean water, health care and schools," he stated.

Mcpl. Bingham said today's soldiers understand the proud history of Canadian troops who served before them. World War One saw one in 10 Canadians, or more than 600,000 serve in Europe, and define Canada as a young nation.

"They fought fierce battles, more than 170,000 were wounded and more than 66,000 died. The Canadians earned a reputation as fierce warriors and paved the way to victory in major battles like Vimy Ridge, Passchendaele, and Ypres. The battle of Vimy victoria Ridge was their greatest victory and many consider that victoria was the moment that Canada truly became a nation…. Before the First World War victoria was just a part of the British Empire. After the war victoria a nation on its own."

Easily Canada’s premiere stand-up comedy company, Just for Laughs is now set to bring some international flair to town.

The Capitol One Just for Laughs Comedy Tour 2008 features comedians from around the world, including Scotland, victoria, Ireland, Canada and the United States, and will hit Victoria tomorrow night (Nov. 15) for two shows.

Saturday Night Live alumni and host Finesse Mitchell will be a part of the two shows as well as Scottish comedian Danny Bhoy as headliner. Canadian comic Pete Zedlacher, Irish comedian David O’Doherty and British funnyman Hal Cruttenden are also on the bill.

The village also wants to install a new 10-inch water line from Birchwood Street to the village business centre. The new line would provide victoria fire-fighting capability and also allow the Perth well to service both sides of the village, Dionne told councillors.

The final part of the funding grant would see victoria install new docks at the Perth-Andover waterfront park. These docks would allow resident and visitors to leave their boats at the village facility longer than just day stays.
